Speaker 1:

Okay, on today's show we have a very special guest, natalie Brett Daggerhart. She is a business energetics and alignment coach. Natalie helps people align their life and business to its greatest energetic potential. She is sometimes referred to as the business visionary or the biz psychic, because she has the ability to see so much in people's businesses and their potential for growth and expansion. And I have had the opportunity of having a session with Natalie and I continuously still to this day, blown away by all the stuff that she has shared. That continues to just keep popping up. So we had to share the goodness, natalie, with all the people. So let's start with. You are a business coach, but you obviously have a very unique and special spin on business coaching that is very different from what's going on out there. So can you talk about your spiritual and psychic side, how you discovered it and what led you to including this in your coaching offerings?

Speaker 2:

Sure, Okay, so I'm going to break it into two questions, two parts or two answers, I guess I should say, to the questions. So first is, I guess, like how I discovered the spiritual side or what led me to that, more on a personal level. So on some level I've always felt a little different, like I've always noticed that I have responded differently to people, experienced things a little differently from everybody else. You know, when I was a kid there were things that I would predict or see that would happen. There were just things that I would know, like a deep sense of knowing about things. I couldn't explain why. It's not like I read it in a textbook, but it's like I know this is connected to this and I'm going to see this unfold this way, and so I would mention it to the adults around me and I could tell that they weren't quite grasping it, they didn't understand. So I just continued to kind of stay in my own little world about it, like knowing things, seeing things, just kind of being the observer essentially.

Speaker 2:

And it's funny, as a kid in school I daydreamed a lot. I don't know if anybody else can relate to that, but I daydreamed a lot what I realized I was doing as I look back into it is. I was seeing things like seeing a person, seeing where they are now, but then also seeing like all these, almost like strings or extensions of them, like all the possibilities of who or what they could do. So it's with people, it's with events, situations, places like that is what my daydreaming would be. So it wasn't necessarily like daydreaming about like fairies or unicorns or whatever it was, it was just seeing all the different areas. So that was being a kid and then you know it's so. It's always been something that's natural to me. But when I got into my twenties or thirties that's when I truly understood things on a different level I realized that I was being impacted by energy differently from other people, to almost to a point to where it was a detriment right, it was draining my energy. I was taking on absorbing other people's energy, feeling deep responsibility for how things unfolded in their life, and on the flip side of that, I was also kind of giving advice that maybe wasn't asked for. And then I was like you know, why are they following this? Like, why are they doing this? I can see all this potential. What I've learned now, you know, in my forties, late thirties, forties, is that I, you know, there are some people that there are some things that people aren't ready to see or aren't ready to step into, and so I didn't, I couldn't departmentalize what was going on by them. It's like I can see you doing this, this, this and that, but they weren't ready for it. So yeah, so that's kind of my backstory. I guess you could say.

Speaker 2:

And you know, one of the things that shifted is I'm trying to think of when it was kind of like my early, early thirties. My thirties were like the discovery phase era. Taylor Swift Everybody loves Taylor Swift, right, we're having all kinds of arrows. That was my discovery era, and so why do I use it in coaching? Like well, how did I start using this in coaching?

Speaker 2:

So what I want to say disclaimer, before I get into this is that everybody needs to choose what, what, let's say platform, that's not the right word. Choose what's best for you personally. Before I say what I'm going to say. So I, I lost my mom when I was 19. That was the start of the shift. I'll say into me, going deeper into the spiritual side, and through that, through that process, I, I'm going to say I'm going to say I'm going. I bottled up a lot of emotions Like I didn't address them. I played in the masculine energy which is, you know, the doing the action. That's how everybody else around me was kind of breaking down around it. So I was like I stepped in, I took the action, bottled up the emotions.

Speaker 2:

You're actually strong for them. Yeah, so I did that. So I did that in my 20s, all of my 20s, and then when I hit my 30s and I had my daughter, that's when the next level of the shift started to happen and I was like I can't keep these emotions bottled down, like everything was coming up, it was impacting me physically. So seeking out a therapist this is where the disclaimer at the beginning comes from. Seeking out a therapist was never, was never me. It just felt too much like white coats, too structured, like it just it wasn't the avenue I needed. Avenue is what I was looking for earlier, not platform there you go.

Speaker 2:

So for me, I just started leaning more and more towards, like, the spiritual side, the psychics, the shamans I needed. Naturally I was drawn that way on purpose, so through that, that is where I truly started learning how to. What I'm gonna say is like embrace the energy that I could experience, embrace the we'll say the intuitive nudges, all those while also releasing the emotions. It was life altering for me Because I had that impact and at the same time I have a. One of my side businesses is a doTERRA essential oil business. For those of you who don't know what's network marketing, they have wellness supplements, stuff like that.

Speaker 2:

I was coaching people through that business and the beauty of that is, yeah, I was coaching them on doTERRA. Sure, you know network marketing, but I kept seeing all these different ways, other businesses that they do. So it was just naturally flowing. So I started coaching before I really started coaching while also handling my own stuff. So, combining those two like those two that actually came together about the same time, where I realized I had such a life impacting experience with the shamans I was working with, she helped me understand my energy, she helped me to process it, she helped me to truly step into my brilliance, who I was meant to be, and I wanted to do that for other people because it's so, it's life altering, it really is. And then my natural like love for business and seeing that like they just kind of came together about the same time and so I felt like I had to show up, I had to move forward and start coaching people. It's a very long-winded answer.

Speaker 1:

Hopefully I hit on the question, no, but it's so interesting, like when you're given a gift, I mean, I feel like it's your duty to share it With those who are ready to accept it, right? Not everyone is going to be open to this, and that's totally fine, but for those that are, I mean, it's a very special gift you've been given.

Speaker 1:

So why, shouldn't you share it? But I understand, as somebody who is an empath, I understand the you take on other people's energy and I'm certainly not intuitive like you are, but I do feel like I read people's energy in a way of like I can, you know, you can read the room and stuff like that will impact me. So I understand needing to let go of that first. So I just think that's so cool that you were able I'm so cool that you were able to release that part of it so that you could properly, you know, give that gift to the world. And I find that it's so true with so many of us Like we, when we are greatly impacted by somebody or something, then we want to share also. That's, like you know, with me with, like, my health and wellness journey that I've been on.

Speaker 1:

Now that's what I kind of I started the podcast so I was like I need to share the things that I've learned and how much my life has been impacted so that other people can experience this, and that's, you know what you're able to now, with the work you do with your shaman. Now you can, you know, hone into your, tap into your gift even more to properly give it to people without taking on all of their energy. I just love it, yes, yeah. So obviously you do talk a lot about energy and tapping into people's energetics.

Speaker 1:

It's a huge part of what you do, so can you discuss this more how energy impacts our life, businesses and how maybe we can you know people listening could tap into this themselves.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Yep. So my motto for those of us I just realized there's probably a lot of people that don't know me my motto is business is 80% energetics and 20% strategy. Now, disclaimer, that doesn't mean strategy is not important. They are both equally important. But what I've seen with working with you know so many women, mainly a few men is that if your energetics aren't in alignment with what you're doing, it doesn't matter what kind of strategy you have For messaging your energy. It will not reach the clients and pull in as many as you desire.

Speaker 2:

So that's the first thing, and you actually reminded me of something when you were talking about gifts and sharing the gifts with the world. It's a little side note on that. You know, what I have found, also through coaching people, is when people truly embrace their brilliance, their unique gifts. That's when their business takes off. And most people, like we all, have unique gifts and talents.

Speaker 2:

You don't have to be psychic, you don't have to be intuitive, Like we all have like this sweet spot and how we're supposed to show up in the world. And what I found with coaching people is a lot of times we have like a little bit of fear of that or the fear of the potential of what it could become like, how big it could become. So I just want to say a side note to that is like if there's anybody listening who's like my business isn't quite where I want it to be or I'm not getting the impact or the number of clients, the more you tap into what's unique about you and allow that to flow because that's what happened with my business it wasn't until I allowed that to be seen and then my business took off.

Speaker 1:

So it's just exciting. It's interesting because fear has come up a couple of times on this podcast, actually the episode that is releasing on the day that we're recording. With faith, we talk about fear too, Fear is something that I've said. It's a common topic that comes up. It really is at the root of a lot of what's holding so many of us back. So it's just it's a common thread that keeps coming up. Yup, yup, all right.

Speaker 2:

Back to our regularly scheduled program Back to the energy work.

Speaker 1:

You hit on that and was like, oh, that's so good.

Speaker 2:

So energy and it is related to energy too. So every interaction that you have if you look at every interaction that you have as an energetic exchange, that's where you start to have a more deeper awareness of how energy is impact you on everyday life. We learned about this in physical science class and elementary school or maybe, like physics, talked about it the energy exchange. So you learn about it there and then we let it go, but it comes into play in every part of your life and there's a quote out there that says what is it?

Speaker 2:

Your most important time when you meet someone is like what? The first five seconds, like what you say? Your elevator branch? I beg to differ. I think it's your energy, because your energy enters a conversation before you even open your mouth. So how your energy presents to people is so important, and so, as far as you know what to do, like how to manage it, I would say that being aware of what impacts your energy, what triggers you on a daily basis, is where to start, because I have a saying it's like your triggers are your best lesson, and I do believe that because your trigger is, even if it's not about so, say, someone triggers you.

Speaker 2:

There's a person in this say say something, it triggers you. So, even though, yes, that person may be out of line, maybe, you know, has work of their own, yes, but the the true work in that is like why did they trigger you? What's the lesson for you to learn? Because if you're truly a hundred percent healed which nobody is, but I mean like, if you're healed in a Certain area, you're not gonna be triggered by someone, no matter how you know rough they are around the edges, right, um, so yeah, so look at your daily life. What are you triggered by? Because that will give you insight. Like, okay, where, why am I triggered? How is this triggering me? How is it impacting my energy? So, becoming an observer is the first step. I would say, yeah, I think that's, I think that's it, that's where I'll be, that I love that.

Speaker 1:

It's so interesting because I've I've worked with a therapist and also from my work with my health coach, I've realized how much, when I've looked at different points in my life, what my trigger is and my biggest, you know I've come to learn is like feeling out of control. When I had, like you know, depression and anxiety Undiagnosed after having my, my first child, it was like fully it was the being out of control. And then when it we had the second and I had it again, it was like it's the feeling of being out of control and different things popping up. Whenever I get anxiety, it's Well, and that's when I freak out. And I have one lesson that I was able to learn from observing that was like okay. Now I think whenever I get like triggered by something, I'm like okay, what's in my control here, what about the situations in my control, deal with that and let the rest go. And it's easier said than done. But it's a trigger that I've learned and how I've been able to, you know, really calm a lot of my Anxiety is by focusing on that particular trigger, because I realized it was a big one, a really big one.

Speaker 1:

So that's interesting, I love that and yeah, like just being an observer, because we're always on the go, right, we're so go-go-go, especially as entrepreneurs. We're like so, so, and really everyone, I mean it doesn't matter if you're an entrepreneur. If you're, you know Whatever you're up to. I mean we're all busy. So it's actually stopping and being able to observe Things like taking a minute to like reflect, it can be really powerful because most people aren't doing it, it's just busy.

Speaker 1:

We're just moving from the next one thing to the next right, speaking of being busy, you run multiple businesses, you homeschool your daughter and you know, truly, you are so balanced and calming and happy in your life and I know that it's not an Instagram facade, okay, like there are some people out there, you know, obviously showing us the highlight reel and pretending, but I know that this is actually true of you. You are, you know, deeply at an inner peace and just, you found a really great balance in your life. So, please, please, help the rest of us. How do you do it all? Teach us your ways. We need, we need your guidance.

Speaker 2:

So say it doesn't come without a lot of inner work. The me and my 20s was constantly stressed, constantly Like anxiety on level 10 and constantly in worry mode.

Speaker 2:

Yeah so I I hit on a couple of things. How I've gotten there is strong boundaries with my time and my energy. You know I feel a lot of people Waste and drain so much energy in the worry phase. So in your business it's like, okay, you put out an offer and you don't just let it be, though. You're like gosh was the right offer, was it the right timing? Should I said something differently, gosh, if I had taken this, it's five minutes. Why is nobody buying it? Do you start second guessing? And and what I? What I've learned because I've done it? We all have done it right.

Speaker 2:

What I've seen is like just paying to my energy. I'm like gosh, I drain so much energy I have no energy left for anybody else that day because I've drained all of it in the worry. You know, all of it in the mind chatter. So that's one area like how I do with my business now is I trust, like I trust my intuition. I trust like this feels good. I've got that like sparkle feeling inside. This is the right thing. It's the right thing when I wrote, it is the right thing. Now I put it out there and I release. I trust that the right people come to me a lot of people. They get really excited up to the launch. They launch and then the doubts start coming in, just draining all their energy, and then they have energy not enough energy left for other things.

Speaker 2:

On the personal side, worry creeps in when, like, say, you send a message to someone and they don't respond back in like five minutes. Oh my gosh, were they mad at me? Did I say something wrong? You know, am I making the right decision here? So it's I guess what I'm trying to say is I think a lot of energy leaks happen in our worry because we're not trusting, we're worrying, and so that's when we're in our mind. Word for fear, yeah, yeah, fear comes in and fear is. I was just actually talking to client yesterday about some fear or some fear. Sounds very Movie like, but yeah, with her, fear is Like I would say 80, 90% of the things we fear never come to pass right. It's like we create this big story in our mind and then when we go through the thing, we're like up Maybe 5% of that was warranted. Everything else was, you know, all in my head. So, yeah, we waste a lot of time there, or energy there, time too. So I have gotten really clean about my energetic boundaries there.

Speaker 2:

As far as what I worry about, like when I channel, what I hear for myself and I think this can relate to everybody is you don't have time to be worried about all these things Like get the thing out and move on to next thing. Yeah, easier said than done, but it's an inner practice. So that's the first thing. Time boundaries is another thing, and I have a to do list for my to do list. I am that person, but if I don't, I spend a lot of time trying to remember things and trying to, you know, worrying about whether or not I'm getting things done.

Speaker 2:

So I actually have my to do list here. So I have a calendar and I have a to do list and so it goes everywhere with me. That, and then I have time around when I respond to people, when I'm checking things, and the the biggest time hack I would say that I tell all my clients is to create before you consume. Yep, yeah, I'm sure you'd like the same way. Like, if you create before you consume, you're not going to be triggered by you know, people that seem to have a glamorous life on Instagram or whatever they're doing. It doesn't make you feel less them, but if you consume before you create, there's like the voice gets bigger.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, all the stuff gets in your head and then you know you're like, oh, that person said oh, I wanted to say something like that. So, now I can't say it because they've said it and it's like, and they said it better than me and like oh, I know, and I mean I, I know when it's time for me to take a break, because I start to get into that comparison.

Speaker 1:

And I'm like oh no, you've been consuming for too long, because I know that those things I'm I get triggered when I'm consuming too much and I know that it's time to turn off and take a break. So okay, so we just got to be better with our boundaries, yeah a lot of ways.

Speaker 2:

Because in boundaries and looking to where your energy is leaking, yeah, which I mean, it's an energetic boundary to but yeah.

Speaker 1:

Well, and I love you know I try really hard to also like. I've created a schedule for myself that I think works with my energy. So I know that by like lunchtime, which I eat around to like, that's it for me, I'm done. I'm done for the day, so that's when I will put up a social post, if needed, or, you know, answer emails, things like that. So I save all those like low energy tasks for that time and then I work on my hot, like the thing that I really need the most brainpower for, first thing in the morning. Also, I work out first thing in the morning Because that's when I know that I won't think about it. I'll just do it. So, okay, to finish us off, I just have a few quick answer questions that I like to ask each guest. So what's one thing you do every day, or most days, that help you live your best life?

Speaker 2:

Okay. So I would say the thing that helps me most is to connect inward at the beginning of my day. So to figure out, this could look different from for every person, but really I'm just sitting, I'm not like doing a specific meditation or like a five step process, but just kind of sitting tapping in like what do I desire to do today? What feels fun? Is there anything my body needs? Just intuitively trusting, because I have found if I don't tune into myself first and I'm like answering everybody else's needs throughout the day, I get grumpy.

Speaker 1:

I get grumpy. So this is the first thing. I totally align with that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah. And then the second thing I think you will relate to too is I move my body. Moving my body is the way for me to process, like mentally. It's so supportive, like process emotions, processed energy. So I try to do that every single day as well. And then the third thing I'll say is taking high quality supplements. I just feel like it impacts my energy. I have a busy schedule. It helps me kind of stay on the go.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I love all that and I totally feel all that. First thing I do is like go work out to don't like deal with anybody else and people are like, oh, you work out so much like every day.

Speaker 1:

How do you do it? I'm like, honestly, it's like you say, it's like I can just like lose myself and it like feels really good. So, honestly, if you tap into, like, oh, if you don't like think about I have to work out now, and you just are like what's going to make me feel good Generally, that's something that will so love that Okay. And what's the best advice you've ever been given, or advice that you would give to your younger self?

Speaker 2:

Oh, this one's a good one. I would say let the world see your magic without the fear of being judged or accepted. That's why a lot of or misunderstood, that's why a lot of people hold back these deep desires and this, this deeper way that they they desire to be in the world.

Speaker 1:

I love that. Okay, and then favorite quote I have two.

Speaker 2:

So the first one is just like one of my favorite quotes in the second one I felt like is relevant for the audience. So my favorite quote, one of them, is by Marianne Williamson. I have to hold it up because I don't remember it, but it's basically our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are more powerful. Like powerful beyond measure kind of goes to a good one right Love. That, yes, and I felt drawn to pull pull this quote for the audience. And this one is by Jack Hanfield. It says nothing is missing in your life. You must simply make room for it. This is around boundaries time, energy.

Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, I love that. And that so ties into, like, advice that I've given in the past about how did I like get going on this health and wellness journey was like that. I made time for it, I made space for it in. You know, you make space for what's important, right, and that's what you have to do. You really that's the thing I talked about in my goal setting episode a couple weeks ago was also the same Like, if you really want to reach this goal, you have to make the space, need to set aside the time. I love that so much. I didn't know it was a. Now I'm going to have to write that quote down. I really love that one. Well, thank you so much, natalie. This was absolutely amazing. There's so many nuggets of wisdom that I know people are going to take away from this and they are going to want to connect with you. So can you please tell them how they can do that, how they can work with you, how they can find you? Give us all the goods, sure.

Speaker 2:

So I live on Instagram. It's my favorite platform and it's just my name, so Natalie Brett dot dagger heart is how you find me there and I would say, the best way to work with me now. If you are kind of wanting to like test the waters, you know, get a sense for what I can do, I would say a biz forecasting session is the best place, and what this is is a place where I can look at where your business is now, see the direction, feel into the energy and give you kind of like a glimpse of some of the different vision I have for you and your business. I know that's the session you took.

Speaker 1:

It is, and it is amazing. Yeah, so highly recommend. Yeah, yeah, I think that was just like such a one of the best investments I made in my business this year, so for 2023. So it was just so wonderful and I will have another one, I know I will. So, anyways, thank you so much again for being here and sharing all of this with us. I so appreciate it. Thank you everyone for listening and I'll see you next time.
